FOCUL
Nu-i adevărată povestea că oamenii au descoperit focul
lovind două pietre.
Focul a apărut altfel, cînd singurătatea primului om
s-a lovit de prima întrebare,
cînd un om s-a gîndit să prefacă rănile lui în speranţă,
să-şi lumineze mîinile
şi teama de el.
Poate focul n-a fost decît un mijloc de a lupta împotriva cenuşii,
cînd vulturii coboară în noi
şi ne temem.
THE FIRE
The story that the humans discovered the fire
knocking two stones isn't true.
The fire appeared in a different way, when the loneliness of the first human
has knocked against the first question,
when a human thought to change his wounds into hope,
to light his hands
and the fear of himself.
Maybe the fire wasn't but a means of fighting against the ashes,
when the eagles come down within us
and we are afraid.
