NAUSICAA

NAUSICAA

Oh, how much I miss Nausicaa.
No one I miss
As this king daughter who
In the sunset
I have seen washing the linen on the sea shore.
All that happened, all that were told
So that the rumour was spreading in the world,
The bloody war, the sea with its storms
So many tests, the long wandering
I should take all from the beginning
And the broken ship, and the shipwreck
If  on the shore where the waves would throw me
I could see Nausicaa once again.

ON THE SHORE

On the shore, the women watch
The fishermen who come back from the high sea.
There are young fishermen and old fishermen.
The young come back with a young heart.
The old come back with an younger heart.

SEMNE

Cu genunchii la gură, cu pumnii strînşi
Dorm pruncii în pîntecul mamelor,
Gingaşe semne de întrebare.

Cu trupul drept, cu faţa în sus
Dorm morţii în adîncul pămîntului,
Rigide semne de exclamare.

Ce-or fi aflat? Ce categorici sunt!

SEGNI

Rigidi punti esclamativi.

Che cosa avranno trovato? Come sono fermi!

SIGNS

With their knees at mouth, with their fists clenched
Sleep the babies in their mums' womb,
Gentle marks of interrogation.

With their body straight, with their face up
Sleep the dead in the depth of the earth,
Rigid marks of exclamation.

What ever have they found? How categorical they are!

SONATA DE FRANCK

SONATA BY FRANCK

The wind was carrying the spring from the south,
White ships were passing out at sea.
The cranes  were announcing with long yells the spring,
We were listening to sonata by Franck.

The moon was rising from the sea waters,
Far away a mast was shaking.
The moon was weaving the golden bridge,
We were listening to sonata by Franck.

Ecstatic lovers on the large jetty,
Were looking the waves coming and breaking.
Ecstatic lovers were dreaming with their eyes towards the sea,
We were listening sonata by Franck.

The wind was carrying the autumn from the north,
Black ships were passing out at sea.
The cranes were announcing with long yells the autumn,
We were listening to sonata by Franck.

FRAGII

Stanno dondolando candidi l'intero estate,
Orecchini di vergine fanciulla.

THE WILDE STRAWBERRIES

The huge forest extinguishes the light of the day.
The rock mountains keep the sky on their shoulders.
It doesn't matter, the wilde strawberries say, we are not frightened.
And on the edge of the precipice, defying the nothingness
They are swinging all the summer,
Ear rings of  a maiden.

COPACUL SIMFONIC

Sunetul fiindu-i atunci rostul unic, esenţial.

Sub multele ramuri, fremătătoare, patetice
Totul fu muzică: întinderea lumii şi durata ei
Păduri, milenii şi ere, o, cum le-am auzit!

Arătînd stelelor drumul, iar vremii cadenţa secundelor
El purta prin noi, copleşitoare imensitate,
Tălăzuirea sonoră a clipei spre Eternitate.

THE SYMPHONIC TREE

Among the other silent trees, he seemed nearly mad
Multiple he was rising from the ground with tens of arms
That enthusiastically he was waving in the wind.

Lively he was - and crossed by so many fluids
That he seemed a phrenetic conductor to our eyes,
Conducting, full of passion, the Glacial Symphony of  Ether.

Incorruptible winter morning with serene sky
When the whole universe was singing, like a crystal organ,
The sound being then the unique meaning, essential.

Under the many branches, rustling, pathetic
Everything was music: the the surface of the world and its lasting,
Forests, oceans, millenia and eras, oh, how we were hearing them!

Pointing the road to the stars, and the cadence of the seconds
He was carrying trough us, overwhelming immensity,
The sonorous waving of the moment towards Eternity.

ORICE OM

EVERY PEOPLE

Every people who I can not love is for me a spring of deep sadness.

Every people who I loved and I can not love anymore,
means for me a step to death.

When I shall not be able to love anybody, I shall die.

You, who know that you deserve my love, be careful not to kill me.

Iubind bezmetica mînie a oceanului...

SEA WOLF

Under my eyes the seas of the world are sliding
With twenty bands an hour, endlessly.
Under the sun beams, in the light of the moon
Continuously slide, green panthers, but  I
Forgetting of the shore and its pale beacons
Fearless get into their huge mouth
Loving the mad rage of the ocean...
Till I feel on my solt-whitened shoulders,
The universe, like a friendly pad of a tiger.
