Copacii au în loc de rădăcini
Sfinţi,
Care s-au ridicat de la masă
Şi-au îngenuncheat sub pămînt
Pentru rugăciune.
Numai aureolele
Le-au rămas afară, -
Aceşti copaci,
Aceste flori.
Şi noi vom fi, la rîndul nostru,
Sfinţi,
Rugîndu-ne ca pămîntul
Să rămînă rotund şi binecuvîntat
În continuare.
HYMN
The trees have instead of roots
Saints,
Who have got up from the table
And knelt under the ground
For praying.
Only their aureola
Remained outside, -
These trees,
These flowers.
We also shall be, on our turn,
Saints,
Praying the earth
To remain round and blessed
Further.
