TATĂL NOSTRU

Tatăl nostru carele
Mîni la pradă fiarele
Şi ogoi cu buciumul
Viforul şi zbuciumul.
Cîrmuieşti corabia,
Zbori pe sus cu vrabia.
Rîzi cu dimineţile,
Plîngi şi gemi cu vieţile.

Creşti în frunza socului,
Arzi în para focului,
Murmuri cu fîntînile,
Stai la sfat cu stînile,
Eşti zemos cum rodia,
Te întinzi cît zodia,
Dormi în ochii boilor,
Cînţi în stropii ploilor.

Eşti mireasma florilor,
Mişti aripa morilor,
Fugi în peştii apelor,
Scurmi cu dinţii grapelor,
Sui în seva luncilor,
Sugi cu gura pruncilor,
Curgi în mierea stupilor,
Urli-n foamea lupilor.

Te îngînă clopotul,
Tăinuieşti cu şopotul,
Te îndoi cu mladele,
Durui cu cascadele,
Te sfîşii cu geamătul,
Te înalţi cu freamătul,
Alergînd cu sunetul,
Detunînd cu tunetul.

Tatăl nostru carele
De dîrlogi duci soarele,
Luminînd cu stelele
Bunele şi relele.
Eşti deasupra miilor
Dumnezeul viilor -
Şi deasupra sorţilor
Dumnezeul morţilor.


OUR FATHER

Our father who
Drive the beasts to prey
And soothe with the horn
The struggle and the storm.
You steer the ship,
Fly up with the sparrow.
Laugh with the mornings,
Weep and moan with the lifes.

Grow in the leaf of the elder,
Burn in the flames,
Whisper with the fountains,
Ask advice of sheepfolds,
You are juicy like the pomegranate,
You are as large as zodiac,
Sleep in the eyes of the oxen,
Sing with the drops of the rains.

You are the scent of the flowers,
Move the wing of the mills,
Swim with the fishes,
Scratch with the harrows,
Raise with the sap of the meadows,
Suck with the mouth of the baby,
Flow with the honey of the beehives,
Howl with the hunger of the wolfs.

The bells accompany you,
You speek with the spring,
Bend with the sprouts,
Roar with the waterfalls,
Tear with the moan,
Raise with the rustling,
Run with the sound,
Thunder with the thunder.

Our father who
Drive the sun by harness,
Lighting with the stars
The good and the evil.
You are above the thousands
The God of the living - 
And above the fates
The God of the dead.
