DINCOLO

Un rîu mic,

un Acheron pitic
de la o vreme mă tot cheamă
să-l trec,
să nu am teamă,
dincolo de el să petrec
o veşnicie, două ;

Zice : " Ţie ţi-e frică de necunoscut,

de vremea ce plouă,
ţi-e frică de frică, de necuvînt,
de cele ce nu-s pe pămînt,
ţi-e frică de-un anume dor,
de-al timpului veşnic izvor,
ţie ţi-e frică de frică,
de piatra ce nu se strică,
ţi-e frică de nerespiraţie,
de nesfîrşita stare de graţie..."

Eun rîu mic,

un Acheron pitic,

statui din abur de viaţă
se mişcă trecînd unele prin altele
frumoasele, înaltele -
şi, printre ele, m-am zărit
nerăbdător aşteptîndu-mă, neliniştit...

BEYOND

A small river,

a dwarfish Acheron,
for a while keeps calling me

to fear not,
beyond him to spend

of the raining weather,
you're afraid of fear, of unward,
of those things that don't exist on the earth,
you're afraid of a certain longing,
of the eternal spring of the time,
and you're afraid of fear,
of the stone that doesn't spoil,
you're afraid of not breathing,
of the endless state of grace..."

It's a small river,

a dwarfish Acherone,
and beyond it, on the shore of fog
statues of vapours of life
are moving passing one through another,
beautiful, high -
and, among them, I saw myself
impatiently waiting for me, anxiously...
