stau lîngă mine -
mă uit la necunoscutul din dreapta
la necunoscutul din stînga
toți trei ne uităm unul la altul
apoi unul se scoală
pleacă
și banca rămîne goală
ca pălăria de pe geam
ca un vas de argint
somnoros
din care picură vin,
ca tîmpla de pe umerii tăi
fără umbră puțin...
RITRATTO
sto accanto a me -
guardo lo sconosciuto alla destra
lo sconosciuto alla sinistra
tutti e tre guardiamo l'un l'altro
poi uno si alza
se ne va
e il banco resta vuoto
come il cappello alla finestra
come un vaso d'argento
assonnato
dal quale sgocciola vino
come la tempia sulle tue spalle
priva d'ombra un po'...

I stay near myself -
I look to the stranger at right side
to the stranger at left side
all three of us look to each other
then one of us stands up
goes away
and the bench remains empty
like the hat at the window
like a silver vessel
sleepy
from which drops wine,
like the templet on your shoulder
without a shadow a little...
