O BALANŢĂ DE SPUMĂ

În balanţa de spumă a prunilor, seara,
nebăută erai, ca o inimă-n rouă.

Cum venea-nverşunîndu-se taurul: fruntea
izbucnea delirant printre coarnele-i negre,
ca o viespe închisă într-o tobă la nuntă
se rotea împungînd o mireasmă, un abur,
tremura în obscura-i, păros-învelită
exultanţă a focului lacom de ierburi,
asurzind sub freneticul tropot de astre!

Am visat. Poate-un veac.Am văzut că la moară
libelule se-adapă în lîncede iazuri,
coruptibile zaruri de os auzit-am
nicăieri-pretutindeni sunînd; şi, deodată,
echilibrul s-a rupt; ca un viscol, din ramuri,
inima ta mă sufla luminos în văzduh...



UNA BILANCIA DI SCHIUMA

Nella bilancia di schiuma dei prugni, la sera,
non bevuta eri, come un cuor nella rugiada.

Come veniva accanito il toro: la fronte
spuntava in delirio tra le nere corna, 
come una vespe chiusa in un tamburo alle nozze
girava cozzando un'odore, un vapore,
tremava nella scura, pelosa
esultanza del fuoco avido di erbe,
assordendo sotto il frenetico scalpitio degli astri!

Ho sognato. Forse un secolo.Ho visto al mulino
le libellule abbeverarsi dai languidi vivai,
coruttibili dadi di osso ho sentito
in nessun luogo-dappertutto suonando; e, subito
l'equilibrio e rotto; come una tempesta, dai rami,
il tuo cuor mi soffiava luminoso nell'aria...



A BALANCE OF FOAM

In the balance of foam of the plum trees, in the evening,
undrunk you were, like a heart in the dew.

How the bull fiery was coming: its forehead
rising in delirium between the black horns,
like a wasp shut in a drum at the wedding
was turning round tossing a fragrance, a vapour,
was trembling in the dark, hairy
exulting of the fire greedy of herbs,
deafening under the frantic pattering of the stars!

I have dreamed. Perhaps a century. I have seen at the mill
the dragon flies drinking from foul ponds,
corruptible bone dice I have heard
nowhere-everywhere sounding; and, suddenly
the balance was broken; like a storm, from the branches
your heart was blowing me bright in the air...
