Ciudaţi copaci mai suntem,
ne legănăm de dor
între un pas şi altul,
spre pasul care pleacă,
spre pasul care vine,
şi nici pe loc nu vrem
să stăm cum stau copacii,
ciudaţi copaci mai suntem.

Strani alberi siamo,
ci culliamo per la nostalgia
tra un passo e altro,
verso il passo che se ne va,
verso il passo che viene,
e non vogliamo stare fermi
come stanno gli alberi,

Strange trees we are,
