Era un timp cu îngeri de aer.
La poarta paradisului te-aşteptam rătăcit:
vino să ne facem lumină!
Pe-aceste pietre nu se poate călca.
Era un timp fără ţărm, fără val.
Pe rugul asfinţitului fără glas te strigam.
Cu un sărut îţi opream respiraţia,
aurul lui Dumnezeu să rămînă pe ram.

C'era un tempo con angeli d'aria.
Alle porte del paradiso ti aspettavo smarrito:
vieni a farci luce!
I passi sono proibiti su questi sassi..
C'era un tempo senza riva, senz'onda.
Sul rogo del tramonto senza voce ti chiamavo.
Con un bacio fermavo il tuo respiro,
che l'oro d'Iddio stia ancora sul ramo.
