ATLET AL CRINILOR

Atlet al crinilor?
Se poate, dar poetul e, mai ales soldat,
descătuşat de inelul muierii,
descătuşat de pîinea de-acasă,
descătuşat de mîinile mamei, umflate.
Descheiat la gît, soldatul,
descheiat la nădragi,
descheiat la beregată.



ATLETA DEI GIGLI

Atleta dei gigli?
Puo darsi, ma il poeta e, piuttosto soldato,
scatenato dell'anello della donna,
scatenato del pane casalingo,
scatenato delle mani della mamma, gonfie.
Sbottonato al collo, il soldato,
sbottonato ai pantaloni,
sbottonato alla gola.



ATHLETE OF LILIES

Athlete of lilies?
Maybe, but the poet is, above all a soldier,
unchained from the ring of the woman,
unchained from the home bread,
unchained from his mother's swollen hands.
Unbuttoned at his neck, the soldier,
unbuttoned at his pants,
unbuttoned at his throat.

PRIVELIȘTE

Se uită poetul cu ochiul
la floarea de ochiu-boului
cum ar privi plodul
din vara oului.

Și ar da el oricît
și firele de sînge de pe gît
și-ar da și cămașa subțire
a ultimei lui iubire
ar da tinerețile și bucuriile
iisușii, mariile
să poată pricepe
ce contur, la capătul privirii, începe.
Ar da foame și sete
de-ar putea să vadă
ce vede.



VISTA

Guarda il poeta col suo occhio
il calice del fiore 
come se guardasse 
l'embrione
nell'estate del uovo.

E darebbe tutto
anche il sangue sul collo
anche la sottile camicia
dell'ultimo amore
le gioventu e le gioie
i gesu e le marie
per poter capire
quale contorno, alla fine dello sguardo, comincia.
Darebbe la fame e la sete
se potesse vedere
quello che vede.



VIEW

The poet looks with his eye
the calyx of the flower
as he would look
the embryo
in the summer of the egg.

And he would give anything
even the blood on his neck
even the thin shirt 
of his last love
the youthes and the joys
the gesuses and the maries
in order to understand
what contour, at the end of the sight, begins.
He would give the hunger and the thirst
if he would see
what he see.
